    Gunsmithing Best way to remove brass scratch on 1911 slide?

    Hello, I was removing a front sight from a Kimber 1911 the other day with a brass punch. Long story short, the brass slipped after impact from hammer and left a small brass streak on top of slide. I have rubbed and rubbed but can't get it off. Does anyone have any suggestions????     Range Report 300yd group question

    After many sessions of load development I shot this group the day. I am shooting my 7-08 with 24" Krieger barrel using 42gr of MR2000 under a 162gr Amax. Is this considered an average group or a good group for 300yd. I shot these off bench with a bipod. I'm just learning this long range game.

    For the guys that do alot of reloading for 7-08, what weight bullet has produced the most accuracy foy you and what powders are you finding that works the best for you. My barrel is a 9 twist. I have a good selection of powders and kinda good on bullets. Thanks in advance
