We had a chance to ring out a few rifles on Sunday.....my son and a cousin shot their deer rifles for awhile and then started on the ARs. Between the Star exploding targets from Cabela's and the AR500 steel targets from Jcvibby, it didn't take long for them to shoot through all the ammo...
The rates are crazy low right now so even though we're already at 4.375% it looks like we're going to refinance - hoping to get under 3%. We have excellent credit and would like some info on the best institution to use (rates/fees/etc.) so any input would be appreciated!!
I'm stuck at home today so I'm going through some pics on the computer. Here's a couple of my GSP Ruby on a romp while we were attending a field trial this fall.... And another from after the leaves fell....does that look say "What the hell are you doing to me" or what?? And one of...
I picked up my first Glock G34 and was thinking I may end up giving 3-gun competition a try one of these days. Does anyone have a recommendation for a nice holster?
My GSP Roxy is about 10 days out with pups so I thought I'd start posting in case anyone's interested. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM with your phone number and I'll give you a call. I've been helping out with Spring/Fall field trials the last few years (planting birds...
I'm going to pick up a new safe and would like to find the best bang for the $$. Right now, it looks like this Cannon S45 from Costco is tough to beat. Costco - Cannon S45 gun safe Any suggestions are appreciated.....thanks!
I'm planning on picking up a good supply of reloading components for my 308 and want to make sure I go with the right components as I don't have $$ to burn. I don't plan on ever hunting anything larger than deer and would like to ideally find a VERY accurate load that would be at home plinking...
I'm putting a Weaver Tactical w/ 30mm tube and 50mm obj on a Rem 700 5R w/ EGW HD 20 MOA mount and wanted to know if I could get away with Burris Xtreme 30mm low rings or if I would need to go with the medium set. Help!
I see a lot of 1-piece base options for $120+ but are there any standouts at 1/2 that price? I don't know much about these but can it really be all that hard to produce a quality piece for +/- $60, really?? Also, I'm going to be shooting a 308 out to 600 yards regularly but some folks say I'll...
I don't reload yet and just got back into the 308 so I'll need to stock up on some factory ammo. These rifles (both 11.25 twist) will be primarily used for target practice and occasionally for hunting and I have no plans on shooting past 600 yards. I like the idea of shooting 168gr FGMM to get...
I recently picked up a pair of Remington 5Rs in 223 and 308 and thought it might be a good idea to top each one with a 3-10x Weaver Tactial Grand Slam mil-mil scope. I have a FFP Weaver Tactical 3-15 mil-mil on another rifle so these are more to compliment my practice with mil-mil than for...
I'm thinking about picking up a 308 again for the first time in a long time. If I go that route, I'd mainly shoot 150gr FMJs/Fed PwrSk/Fusion as well as some 168gr FedGM but nothing lighter or heavier than those. With that in mind - what would be the ideal twist rate for me??
I've had recommendations on both pinned and non-pinned gas blocks so I thought I'd look for some experience here on the pros/cons. I want a durable setup but would like to be able to swap parts myself. Thanks for your help....
The SS HD 5-20x is too much power for me but I really dig my SS 1x4. Has anyone heard of any plans for a "tweener" - possibly a 2.5-10, 3-12 or???? One of those would work much better for my needs and I'd jump on either one in a second!!
I was going to order a mil-dot master and thought I'd check to see if you guys thought they were worth the $$ before I put in the order. They look very handy to me but I didn't know how useful they actually were in practice.....thanks.
I'm going to order a SS 1-4x24 and wanted to know A) which model of LaRue works best with it and B) if it was worth it to order the BC lens caps at the same time. If there's a better mount or way to protect the lenses, please let me know....thanks!
I’m going to put a red-dot on my Ruger 10/22 and would like to hear some input on the Vortex SPARC vs. a Burris Fast-fire II in terms of overall quality, battery life and low-light performance. Thanks!!
