    **ROUND 4.5 !!** 100YARD+, 20round SHOOTOUT!

I've dealt with "extra" bullets on the target in previous rounds, previous decisions were based upon the caliber of the round in question: different caliber gets discarded, same caliber counts. Huntress - looks like you got unlucky twice, not only your target got shot, it got shot with another...

    **ROUND 4.5 !!** 100YARD+, 20round SHOOTOUT!

Take that target tomorrow, add two more dots - and plug 'em :) You already got a bullseye - and they seem pretty hard to come by ;) groups #4 is the worst of 5 bullsyes and with 2 missing that makes average suffer (to infinity that is).

    Velocity and recoil

Just unbolt the recoil pad, fill it with sand, one layer of masking tape, trim the tape, bolt the pad back one. I've done it several times to either reduce the recoil or to balance longer rifles (or both). Makes big difference.

    Velocity and recoil

If you have synthetic stock - fill it with playsand, it will absorb a lot of recoil.

    Velocity and recoil

I would recommend 223 or 22-250 for a ten-year old. Accuracy trumps everything else. Put a bonded bullet in the boiler = enjoy life-long memories without a scope-eye. 7mm-08 can be finicky to find a load, it kicks like 308 but delivers less bullet and energy - and who care about BC at 130 yards?

    New rifle - Blaser R8

You know, the regular "jam". You pull the trigger, recoil felt kinda harsh, a bit of smoke from action, the bolt don't move now ... Possibly blown out primer, swollen cartridge, maybe split neck .... In traditional design rotational torque advantage on a cam lets you either get the case out, or...

Is it worth having Savage custom build a rifle

Too bad the only good thing about 700 action is the footprint ... and that's debatable. If you reload - you can use a sized piece of brass for the go/no-go gauge. Vise and wrench will run $100. I don't like to chase my brass two-three lanes over at the range - ejection is not a problem for...

    **ROUND 4.5 !!** 100YARD+, 20round SHOOTOUT!

I don't think the target makes a difference once you use the software. Like you said center=center; and the way I have the challenge setup the bullet has to hit the center of POA to count (with 223 Remington the "group" should be less then 0.112" @ 100 yards).

    **ROUND 4.5 !!** 100YARD+, 20round SHOOTOUT!

Post a "virgin" picture of the target and I'll re-run the groups; however Shoot-n-see targets are pretty generous (kinda the whole point ;) )

    Remington 700 pistol

During FFL transfer it should/can be marked "OTHER" just like any other receiver. According to the latest ruling you can assemble it any way you wish and re-assemble as well, as long as you don't make an SBR without proper paperwork. However, if it is marked as "rifle" during transfer - that's...

    **ROUND 4.5 !!** 100YARD+, 20round SHOOTOUT!

Puts you in the first place! (I'll edit the OP later tonight). The bullseye challenge is a lot harder than I though it would be - we got a few sub .010" misses already.
