Advice Ideas on a guitar build

Same as all the others - screen-printed logo on the front kick drum head. They're drummers, they won't know the difference. :ROFLMAO:

Advice Ideas on a guitar build

Based on what you've already said, If your friend is mostly a rhythm player and doesn't play a lot of solos, or he has some songs in the set that don't need access to high frets (there are a lot of them like that), then I'd leave it as-is. If he plays a lot of solos, I'd go with the cutaway...

Yep. You should see the massive "ponds" they've built around the site. They're currently still dry, but my first thought on seeing them was they're planning on having to do a LOT of cooling. Operational date is probably still a long way off, but it is a HUGE construction project, and running...

They weren't here either, until they were. This is rural Alabama, and until Meta showed up, their "site" was several hundred acres of pasture filled with cattle. Same for the Hyundai plant across the road, but they've been there 20 years now.

Micron Precision Bushing Sizer Not Compatible With Zero Press?

Awesome. Thanks! I'll report back after the Cortina die arrives.

Junior is an insane player when he really gets cranked up! I always loved "Highway Patrol".

Micron Precision Bushing Sizer Not Compatible With Zero Press?

@R_A_W @SEPAboltrifle I ordered the Cortina Mandrel die in 300NM. They don't offer their bushing sizing die in 300NM so that's not an option anyway. But if the Mandrel die will size my bases smaller than my Redding then it may be all I need. I already run my cases through a 21st Century mandrel...

Micron Precision Bushing Sizer Not Compatible With Zero Press?

Thanks for the info. I haven't had a chance to study the Cortina die yet, but I figured it was doing something similar to the M-series Area419 (using a fixed neck sizing portion to size the neck under mandrel size at the top of the stroke, and then expand it with the mandrel on the way back...

Micron Precision Bushing Sizer Not Compatible With Zero Press?

Unfortunately, neither the SAC nor the Area419 dies are offered in 300 Norma.

Micron Precision Bushing Sizer Not Compatible With Zero Press?

Thanks. My problem is that the ammo I'm loading with my Redding Type-S is giving me clickers on the third firing. I'm not committed to the idea of the Micron, I just need something to size the case better near the base, and the Micron seems to be the name that keeps popping up. I'm open to other...

    Xero C1 Pro - v3.30 update

Ok, so then it's both, apparently. I never put anywhere near 100 shots in a string, but it began to overwrite old strings with new ones when you hit 100 strings. Correction: Now that I think about it, I don't think the LR would overwrite strings. Instead, I think it stopped at 99 or 100 strings...

    Smarter Than You

Interesting (astute) observation. Right now, Facebook/Meta is building a huge new data center in my AO, directly across the road from a big Hyundai car manufacturing plant. From what I can see in the infrastructure, they're planning on the data center to be pulling A LOT more power than the...

@ironpony52 I don't recognize that volume knob in the pic as being Fender. Do you have a pic of the whole original guitar?

Well...you're not wrong! Edit 1: Poor Jeff. Cancer took his eyesight as a kid, causing him to learn to play that way for some reason, only to return and take his life as an adult at the peak of his career. Edit 2: I see you Liked my post with a laughing emogee before I posted Edit 1. So this...

Advice Ideas on a guitar build

That sure looks like a 24" scale, which is definitely NOT standard for a Strat. Measure the distance from the back (fretboard side) of the nut to the 12th fret. If it's 12.0", then that would confirm it's a 24" scale. On the other hand, if the donor guitar measured exactly 25-1/4" (as pictured)...

    Xero C1 Pro - v3.30 update

If it's like the Labradar, it's not the number of shots, but rather the number of Strings. I think the LR filled up at 100 Strings before it started to write over the oldest ones. I want to say the Garmin is the same/similar.
