Watch Out for Scammers!
We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
Also, I agree with Ryan about the style of match organization where we queued at the position. It really helped me as a new shooter to talk to the folks around me. Regardless, I really appreciate all your time and effort to build this up.
Sounds great. Looking over the website, I did not see when pre-reg opens? Also, what if we don't fit in the classes listed (military, senior, etc.)? Thanks.
Respectfully, if an "ND is just as much on the RO as the shooter", I won't be RO'ing much in the future and I'd be surprised if a large part of your volunteer corps didn't dry up. From an outside perspective (I'm fairly new to the scene), it seems obvious that ROs are the weakest link in...
It was great at Jake's to be rooting for 'team Nisqually'. Nice to see the familiar faces shooting so well in very tough conditions. I helped RO the mover stage, and I didn't really get to say 'later' to Jon and Steve. They were two great and knowledgeable guys giving it their all up on that...
Good times, and I already contacted the donors of the schwag I scored to say 'Thanks for your support!'. Bonus: made it back over the pass before the close!
Gents, is it worth discussing using the rifle racks to keep an uncased rifle with chamber flag stored between stages? I think KevinD knows what I'm talking about. Last time I had to grab an RO to get escorted to the safety area, and that doesn't seem efficient. Unless the answer is for me to...
I had a great time yesterday, thanks especially to Kevin and Anton, and all the other ROs. What a great range and skilled, friendly group of shooters! I still want to place with the M1A, dang it, but I sure need to learn to shoot. Accurate dope, proper scope and non-surplus ammo would help too...
Relentless1, with due respect to your coach, you should do yourself a huge favor and get Frank's (Lowlight) Day One video. One thing he says, for example, is the breathing technique you describe is out of date. Study up on the 'respiratory pause', otherwise you're shooting with two half inflated...
Re: Puget Sound Area Shooter's Group Learned something already! FFP/SFP = focal plane. That data is impressive. I was happy to see Bushnell up there on the list. Though it is a FFP, how is the quality of the glass?
