I used to hit 500m targets with iron sights in less than 6 inch groupings with M16A2. So why do I need a "cool name" when it...- physioman

Re: Effectiveness of Remington 700 in .308 I am just thinking different size animals like small deer to larger deer or elk and to be able to hit at various distances. And yes paper targets to keep it tight when not out hunting.- physioman

I am wondering the effectiveness of the Remington 700 .308 as a LR rifle and as a multi use rifle. Suggestions on set up with stock, scope etc would be helpful. I am thinking 500-1200 for distances.- physioman
