I have gone from a Winchester M70 .308 Win w McM A5 to a Accuracy International AW 7.62 NATO (later .260 Rem) and now to a Tikka T3 Varmint 6.5x55 in a McM A5. ( sold the AIAW because a snowmobile buy :-) ) Anyway, here is the Tikka now.
Re: Shooter Ballistics app now for iPhone I found another problem/bug in the software. Last weekend I zeroed a load for colder temp, the temp was -10 celcius. Going in under ammo and typing in all the data including powder temp and Velocity Variation (took the V0 from warmer temp and...
Re: Shooter Ballistics app now for iPhone Thanks for answering. I do use it for measuring a lot in field target competitions but I also se that I get different adjustments depending on if I chose USMC or Army. For example at 1000m with USMC gives me 10.3 mil and with Army 10.5 mil, small...
Re: Shooter Ballistics app now for iPhone I just discovered another thing Im not sure what to set, I use a NF with MLR reticle which is mil based. In the Shooter app I must specify which Mil-Dot type my reticle has, USMC or Army. What should I use to get it right with MLR? Can't find the info...
Re: Shooter Ballistics app now for iPhone I got the BC part to work, had to write 0,263 not 0.263 (, vs.) I got everything ON for the Auto atmospher but still no go. I don't know where it gets it's data from (living in Sweden) but TFE works great for weather data including altitude, temp...
Re: Shooter Ballistics app now for iPhone I downloaded Shooter to night for my IPhone 3 Gs but having some problems with it. 1. I shoot the 123gr Lapua Scenar in my 260 rem, I want to use G7 BC but when I change from G1 to G7 BC and try to save I get a message saying "Ballistic coefficients...
Re: .260 remington --130 gr Berger starting loads??? I would be interested to. I seek data for the 129gr Hornady SST but 130gr data would give me a hint. I have N160 and Norma 203B (RE15) at hand but could buy a different powder if I have to.
Hi Has any one here used Norma URP for the 208gr A-Max in .308 Win? I see that a lot of people using Reloader 17 but that powder cant be found in Sweden any more and Norma URP seems quite a like in burn rate. If you used it, any min max data for Norma brass and Federal 210? Thanks!
Re: AIAW trigger I just played around with my AW trigger but it ended with that I adjusted it back to the factory 1.8 kg, feels best I think. I really like the trigger, the only thing I could complain about is that the trigger has some play sideways. Is it a feture to keep it work in dirt...
Re: .308 Winchester VS 7.62X51mm NATO Im woundering about the same thing as I have a AIAW on it´s way to me. Can I load as usual with mu 308 dies or do I have to get 7.62 Nato dies and fireform 308 brass to be on the safe side? Edit: Got answer from AI and it´s OK to use 308 Win in the AIAW
Re: Need a little advice about caliber Thanks for all you answers. I stumbled upon a used 29" Shultz & Larsen barrel almost for free, it has 8½ twist and are in caliber 6.5x55 Swede. I will rethread it for my Winchester action, ream it to AI, recrown and thread for my suppressor. First of all...
Re: Need a little advice about caliber :-) Thanks for the advice. I have had a 300wm just recently but never got it to shoot as I wanted so I sold it. I will shoot paper and steel 95% at the time and if I should hunt with it, it would not be at ranges over 400m for sure. I have tried a...
Hi I have a rifle that is built on a Win 70 LA (Post 64) action in caliber 308 Win. It has a SS Lothar Walther barrel on it that now has 2014 rounds thru it, still some life left. Last weeken I participated i my first shooting over 1000 yards (1071 yards exactly) and clearly my 308 was a...
Re: First rounds from the Accuracy International AW50 Swedish guy, it might be possible but way to expensive to shoot here in Sweden. And to much hassle to get it here. Im fine with the small calibers. I guess 338 LM is the best thing if I would want to go bigger.
Re: First rounds from the Accuracy International AW50 No way Zak, you (your page) made me order a AI AW in 308 that I wait for now. I cant get that kind of money a AW50 cost... (Not now any way...)
