    .308 Winchester

5 consecutive 5 shot groups in the .2's with an 18.5" barrel, H4895, and Berger 185 Juggs. Was getting ES's in the 19-20 range and SD of 9 using Hornady one shot for neck lube. Switched to Neolube No.2 and ES is down to 8 and SD of 3. Virgin Palma brass.

And you want that case in your rifle's chamber over the long haul? No thanks.

    .308 Winchester

This is where I'm at with this. I have no desire to run 80K psi loads through my action and barrel consistently, and if I'm not doing it consistently, I have no use for it. There needs to be far more data made available on the stress this puts on the action and barrel over years of repeated...

What action/actions are you using for the hybrid loads?

    .308 Winchester

It's funny, some people swear by the tipped Sierra's and some people hate them. I never saw anything to write home about in any of the Black Hills ammo loaded with them and the few I tried with handloads were nothing special. I really am a Berger whore, however my current .308 bolt gun has...

Don't sleep on the Berger 175 OTM. Has been phenomenal in my M1A.

Some very early testing with a new 18.5" build with 210 Sierra Matchkings and N550. Both 5 shot groups.

Use .243 and G7. Unless you aren't shooting beyond 500 yards.

    M14/M1A built or buy??

NF 4-16x42 is what's on it in the picture. Currently it has a NF 5-25×56, same rings.

    M14/M1A built or buy??

Reliable ejection won't be a problem, but the brass dinging the windage knob on the way out will be.

    M14/M1A built or buy??

Pretty sure I have some APA .850 rings on mine and have no trouble clearing the rear sight. Also running an LRB M25.

Sweet rifle. I miss my JAE stock.

    M14/M1A built or buy??

Be very careful what scope you pick if you end up with an LRB receiver. The integrated scope rail causes the ejected brass to make contact with the windage knob and dings the shit out of it. I will only run NF scopes because the windage knobs come capped.

    M14/M1A built or buy??

Thanks. They are American Precision medium (.856). Last I heard, they couldn't be had anymore.

    M14/M1A built or buy??

If you're serious about accuracy and don't mind spending the money, then an LRB M25 rear lug and McMillan stock all day, every day and twice on Sunday. This is what a properly built M1A can do with handloads. The rifle was built by Dave Ferrante of Heart Mountain Precision in Wyoming. 10...
