Winchester Model 70 7WSM new to me

In the ilk of what powdahound is talking about, I’d go the opposite direction. Take the scope off and throw it in the freezer for a few hours. The metal should contract, as well as the wood. Might create enough clearance to get it loose.

Winchester Model 70 7WSM new to me

Is this still available? Seriously, as for the rings, I’d look at the Talley setup and see if works for you. I run them on all of my hunting rifles. I have the same problem, in reverse though. I can never get the scope far enough forward. Mcarbo is a good choice for the spring.

Any reason you never see builds on Winchester Actions?

Well damn, this is going to get expensive for me.

    338 Norma

I have found that with the SMK’s and A-Tips, Retumbo has been safe to start at 84 grains. For H1000 I would start at 82. I’ve run Retumbo up to the high 80’s and H1000, I won’t mention because it’s certainly far higher than I probably should have. Work up slow, looking for pressure signs. As...

Calling all poors, what is the most poorish shooting sports thing you've ever done?

That’s where the poor comes in. It’s an AI chassis but not an AI rifle. I’m a fraud.

    Badger Ordnance M2013 project

Rivers Bend in Missouri will cut it. Can confirm they do phenomenal work.

    Badger Ordnance M2013 project

Bolt knob. I’ve seen it in another thread but haven’t been able to find one. Any update on where to get one?

    Badger Ordnance M2013 project

I had a 2013 that I never went forward with and sold. I still have the thumbhole Manners in the garage. I do have a 2008 that my 338 Norma is built on and I couldn’t be happier, love that rifle. I think they’re great actions and you’ve got a gorgeous setup. The last time I talked to Marty, he...

Badger Ordinance M2013 action...can they still be found?

At the time of my asking, I’d seen one for sale and would have guided him to it. I do not have one nor am I looking though.

Maggie’s Anybody have any idea what this part belongs to?

I’ve seen one of these before, or something that looks a lot like it, but for the life of me I cannot recall what it goes to. It sucks getting old…

    Don’t mess with Daddy’s girl

Been out all afternoon. The site provided in this thread is the place to donate. Venmo and cash app aren’t allowing them to receive funds for the “anticipated” reason.

    Don’t mess with Daddy’s girl

A good guess would be a girl who has been groomed for the last couple of years.

    Don’t mess with Daddy’s girl

I’m not sure if it’s being stated clearly enough, but the arrest in July was for stalking and sexual assault of the same child he was with when he was shot. I know the family.

Lengthening the mag catch on long action AICS DBM?

Not implying an extra power spring is needed but it may be possible that the existing spring is worn. A new spring may provide more upward force.

Lengthening the mag catch on long action AICS DBM?

I think I would first address the follower spring. Either get a new/longer one or pull the existing and stretch it a bit to see if that puts enough upward pressure on the follower to prevent it from compressing.

    Any Concrete guys here?

IF the cut is 3/16” (blade width) you can use 1/4” backer rod, be sure to get it down into the joint (joint should be at least 1/4 the depth of the concrete). The top of the backer rod should be roughly 1/8” below the finished grade of the concrete. 890SL joint sealant is going to take roughly...
