I own 3 Howa rifles and love them. I am wanting to pick up their mini action chassis in .223 but the barrel only comes in 20” length. The twist is 1:8. What do you think practical range will be with that barrel?

As part of a collection I had bought there are several hundred rounds that I’m struggling to Id. The bottom stamps seem military to me but unsure. Bullet size is .258, case has same size and shape as 308 but about 1/4” longer.

Ok gents, I discovered a new problem on my Choate Varminter stock. My Harris bipod when attached to the bipod rail on the stock, doesn't actually contact the stock. Ok, so I just acquired a Savage 12 .308 BVSS in a Choate Tactical stock in trade. Now, I own a 110, 10, and 111 Savage and I understand the 2 digit is sa, 3 digit la etc... but what I don't know, and can't really figure out is what is the differences between a 10, 12, 16 etc?

I was given a bunch of PMC .308 brass and I am going to load them, I was just curious if anyone had any personal experience with this mfg. of brass? It seems to hold just about the exact same powder as win. brass.
