My AAC can "wiggles" and I read this thread just before I got it. I use my 762-sdn6 on my 6.5 creedmoor. The poi shift depends on your velocity. And concerning accuracy. My advice is just shoot the damn thing or "wiggle it,just a little bit" :p
I plan to run it at 16.5" and run an AAC 762-snd6 on it, but want the barrel long enough to take it from PA to NY. We aren't debating 300 blk versus 308. The OP has 300 blk components like I do. I can't take an AR to NY either. This is a fun little round nothing more. I'm new to suppressors...
I just recently received rights to my 300 SBR and I keep thinking that a bolt gun shorty 300 would be sweet as hell. I was going to go with a manners T4a and then watched the O'Neil Ops video with the T4 folder built by LRI. This forum is going to bleed me dry. I have no need for a 300 bolt gun...
Does the mrk4 have a zero stop feature? I had the 30mm mark 4 with mildot reticle and MOA turrets. I bought a mark 6 due to size/weight, matching turrets/reticle and has zero stop feature. I like mine and don't have any issues with mine. 18 power is nice for 1000 yards and the cross hair is...
I have a black 2014 ordered in SA. Placed beginning of July for a surgeon/creedmoor build. Of course I'm probly 6-8 months out on the build regardless. I'll just drool over some pics from shot show in the mean time.
Hodgdons website shows 37-41grs for IMR4350. I personally don't have an issue going above max loads. But I wouldn't suggest to anyone to start a full gr and a half higher. I'm running one hole groups with h4350 at 40 grs and pushing 2763 fps. My suggestion is to start at 38-39 range and work...
I have 2 T5as and an MCS-T. I really like the T5s but don't really consider them a true thumbhole. They are too much like a pistol grip compared to other thumbholes. I have a creedmoor in a T5a and its my do all hunting/tactical/bench gun. The vertical grips on the T2 and T4s just seem a...
Brux, I use the 136L scenar in my creedmoor and it doesn't seem to matter where I seat them. I started at 2.850" and now I'm all the way back to 2.785" and my pressure seems lower. My load is 2763 fps out of a 28" barrel with a SD of 7. I'm using h4350.
You will be fine. I have a manners T5a with mini-chassis and will never bed it. When I don't shoot groups like what is pictured above, I can only blame myself.
I have the same rifle, I love it. I would mount a doctor style reddot on a 45 angle off of the scope rings. But the thought of putting iron sights on a GAP is like letting a 2 year old draw stick figures on a Picasso. WHY? for close to 500$ for sights, buy another scope, or carry a sling shot.
I have a short and long action T5a with the mini-chassis and both barreled actions dropped in without any issue. My short action was inleted for a sendero contour and I have plans to go to a M24 on my next barrel. I plan to just send the rifle to my smith and have it opened up when the time...
I purchased the 762SND-6 for the same reason. SBR 300 blk and to use on my 6.5 creedmoor tactical rifle. Mine has a repeatable shift down anywhere from 2-4" depending on load. My qd mount is the flashhider on both. Neither one locks up completely solid, but have never come loose. As you...
I had one in a 223. shot lights out with 55 gr berger varmint match bullets. Also had a good load for 62 tsx and 69 smks. The follower however was junk, if you closed the bolt fast it would catch on the follower and try to chamber it. I sent the stock to badger and converted over to M5 DBM.
Honestly Jim, I would go with the 41.4 gr. I assume h4350 for a powder. Chrono the load try 50 out at some different distances and take a whitetail this fall. I have 42.5 gr of 4831sc behind my 140 berger hunters and coal of 2.825". they shoot consistently around .3s That's good enough for...
Mine is a 6.5 creedmoor. The guys at pierce are great, the actions are smooth. They are building my second creedmoor a bit heavier. Took me around 6-7 months to get my barreled action from them.
I agree! I have a 28" barrel and can get 2850 with the 140s, but it destroys my primer pockets. I print one hole groups with 40 gr of h4350 and a 136l lapua scenar and they are pushing 2750 and works get to 1000. Don't chase velocity if it sacrifices accuracy.
I kinda rambled in the above post. But knowing what I know now, I would not have a 308 for the shooting I do which is 90% in the 850-1000 yard range. You are going to spend 4000$, get the most efficient cartridge you can get.
