Watch Out for Scammers!
We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
I agree with Rich. The target size was perfect. At first I thought the time allowed was on the short side, but after figuring out some better positional techniques it was pretty good. One thing I would recommend would be a Friday afternoon course (a few of hours) for first newbies to get a few...
Thanks again to all the organizers and RO's for putting this match on. Special thanks to Jeremy for letting a couple Canucks crash at his place, and doing a Ton prep work. Wish your leg would have held out for Sunday. I have never learnded so much in 2 days of shooting as I did at this match...
Wondering if we are allowed to use ballistic calculators for ranging and calculations? Are we able to use rangefinders? Shooting next weekend and want to do some practice for the comp, if we are allowed to use these tool I want to practice with them. Thanks Ryan
Just got my gun back from Chou Brothers precision and all I can say is wow. This gun is perfectly put together. In my opinion they are one of the best smiths in the Canada This gun started as a model 10. Put it in a Tac 21 with a PRS and ergo grip. The barrel is a Bartlein 5r 1 in 8 heavy...
Thanks rich for the info. No problem on not being able to use the range on the Friday. Just needed to know the max distance to get dopes locally. Looking like 3 Canadians coming now. Ryan
Any chance of the range being open the Friday of the comp for sight in. It is to long of a drive to come down on the other dates you have posted for sight in, and won't have my import paper in time for them. Is the camping at the range open Friday night as well? What range are we going out...
I know there is a huge fan base for atlas but for f class I would skip over them. I would ether get a set of claw feet for the Harris or try a LRA fclass bipod if you want to load. Guys are also having a lot of success with trying a modified free recoil using the ski pod type bipod. Takes a bit...
If you are going to shoot FTR you will need a bipod. Can not use a front bag. You may know this already. You can go with any thing from a Harris all the way to a seb joy pod. It depends on your shooting style. Lots of guys are going to the ski style pods because is the more consistent tracking...
That is a great list of sponsors. We have 4 Canadians coming with us know. You should have my Money in a couple of days. Gun is at the smith getting a fresh 260 ai on. Should be back next weekend end then the push to get it seasoned and ready to go. What is the range we will be shooting out to...
I read that too. But that was posted on April 21. I would like to get to know if I have a spot before I try to get my paper work to cross the boarder. Ryan
There are a lot of advantages to a chassy system. The ergonomics and recoil managment are my two favorite parts. With a PRS butt you can put in a Mercury recoil reducer, that combined with a brake you can watch your shots at 200 yrds. You can still bed a chassy, but even better is to glue...
Stay away from the light tac bags for fclass. They will not allow your gun to track properly. You will not notice it at short range but when you get out back it will hert your scores. I use a tube style bag for precision comps but switch to a edgewood for fclass. Make sure you fill it with heavy...
