Recently disassembled my CZ 455 bolt for the first time. The safety was a bit bulky when I went to pull it out. Just pushed down on the striker spring support a bit more and was able to get it out. Might see if a friend can help out by pushing down on the striker spring support while you use...
That is wild! Must admit - I probably would have just taken off and not taken the pictures. I have already had dogs snap at me a few times while on my dirt bike. Definitely would not want to give a wolf the opportunity.
I hope to hear some good news fairly soon as well. The latest update I got from Kristen on my order for .308 Match (pre-order) was that it would ship between 4 - 6 June. And today is 6 June - can only hope :-)
I had noticed this in some of your videos before but never thought to ask - thanks. And one question generates another :-) "Click of Death"??? Firing on empty chamber and damaging firing pin or....?[ TIA QUOTE=Lowlight;2537736]It is called a "press check" with any magazine feed rifle it is...
Appreciate the clarification on the use of the ramp on the rear baffle as I had it backwards. Obviously working from memory was not a good thing. Will need to be a bit more careful in my grammar as well as I stated things poorly. :-(
Based on what I have read, 1/2 inch groups at 50 yardsit can be done - but seems to be dependent on the barrel and ammo. From the Kidd website (Frequently Asked Questions) "Yes, we guarantee all of our barrels will group a half an inch at fifty yards."
If the spacer has a small ramp at the end of it, it is part of the bolt assembly. It sits between the bolt head and the receiver block and locks the floating bolt head in place against the lugs when the bolt is closed. Took me a while to figure out when I first got my FLCP as it was rattling...
Never been a big fan of digital camo - but that sniper grey/light grey combo looks pretty good. First one that I might actually want to do - someday when I get a new stock :-)
Scotty, Thanks for the link - I will follow up on that. For me , it will primarily be used as a "practice" rifle - backyard and at the range - saving 308 ammo. Occasional varmint dispatch may happen as well. No benchrest, but combination of bipod and off hand shooting. For my wife - just...
I have the ADM mount on mine - the instructions wanted it to be as tight as I could make it. Looking at Installing the BT21 - Atlas TRG Bracket (ATB), it indicates that the for the mount screws "Tighten the two 10/32 x 3/4 Flat Head Socket Screws securely. Removable thread locker such as...
Seems like a good idea but.... 10-32 threads are not that durable if cycled very many times as there is not that much material available. Also not sure what the torque requirement is for the Atlas Mount - but you probably won't get more than 10 -15 inch pound torque on those thumb screw using...
Put Vortex low (.87) rings on a Seekins 20 moa rail with a March 3-24x42 scope on a 308 FCP-K. Fits great and plenty of room under the objective (about 1/4 -3/8 inch). If I could have gotten a set of the Seekins low rings (.82) that would have been my preference. Won't be home for two weeks -...
For the new 308 175 SMK ammo - looks like they are waiting on brass. From another thread, this is the response I got from Zach yesterday; "The brass is coming, the only delay we have is the arrival of the brass. I am great full for the company making the brass for us. They have been awesome...
