Where can you shoot around or close to central PA that allows rimfire F Class along side of prone matches that are sanctioned ? Been looking and not much out there. Redding,PA has one but not sanctioned. Lots of interest with the newish provisional Rimfire F Class rules. Also, prone Nationals...
Thank you again. I actually found some WC870 surplus powder, the same as the H870 powder. I did get a little more info on the rifle...it has a 32" barrel with 8 twist. I need to find out what bullets he has now. Thanx again
I have a friend who was given his fathers rifle. It's a 6.5x300 Weatherby Mag. He has 10 loaded rounds and 100 pcs of formed brass. He DOES want to shoot it !! I know it's an older 1000 yard wildcat cartridge from the 70's. He has bullets but I'm not sure what they are yet. What are some of the...
Clark barrels are on top of the pile as well. I picked the 21.5" mid weight. It's an awesome with mid grade ammo. It handles great for the length and weight. If you decide your barrel is worth keeping after you have de-leaded....that would be the cheapest route. You wouldn't be disappointed with...
Those are very nice groups indeed ! Why is there never any talk of the Ruger 77/22 ?? They do shoot very well. IMO I like the feel and look better than the CZ's. I own a Hornet CZ and it shoots better than my Browning or Ruger. But not my 22's !! The 77/22 platform is very easy to adjust and...
Here is my Aug 100 yd target... Had a good morning today. It was calm until the range opened for firing at 0800 hrs. Then the rain started and let ups were hard to see even with having 2 flags up. I took oneforall advice and tried better ammo, it works for me !! I learned something from him by...
I would start .010" off the lands and do ladder test with powder. After you find that sweet spot for powder then adjust seat depth. IMO it works great.
Thanx Oneforall...I think this month I will use some of my better ammo. Hopefully more will join in !! I'm going to use wind flags as well, I have some left over from when I was shooting BR. @2's are a blast to read the wind or attempt to. 6mmRem
13 Jul 13 100 yards I had to try the 100 yd 25 shot target this past weekend. Not as good as oneforall's but not too bad...for what I had... Name- 6mmRem Rifle- 77/22 Ruger VLS Ammo- 15 + year old Remington X-Mas can Thunderbolts Class-Scope- Leupold VX-3 6.6x20x40 EFR Harris bi-pod...
I have a Nightforce 12x42 NXS to put on a Rem 700 short action. It will be mostly used in local comps. Also what bases are you using ?? Thank you, 6mmRem
Thank you...Yep that helps! I will give it shot :) !! We'll see what happens next month. I've got plenty of CCI SV from my silhouette days. I have the lot #’s with a heavy wax coat, really good when it warms up some. Seem to clog up some in the cooler months. Will be good practice for the local...
I have read the 22 sticky. Still have a quetions. Yes very new to the forum. I have downloaded the targets and printed for 100 and 200 yds. Now when you shoot these do you just score them or take pic and send to the thread ? Is it all weak side or just anotate in post which it is? Sorry for...
If shooting paper mostly. Why not the 6mmRem ? A little better than the 243, the longer neck helps a lot with bullet seating depths. I have a couple of them but don't shoot 1000 yds with it right now. Right now 600 yds is what I have been shooting and the groundhogs out to about 750-800 yds. It...
Thanx Bricktop...hopefully see you up there. Dashers do very well at Williamsport. Hello Bohem...That explains the Abe, I'm about an hour or so away from Lewisburg to the S.East.
