I have a Core15 and it's an excellent rifle. A friend in Florida has the Core30 and it's his favorite semi auto. He got rid of his other 7.62 rifles because it shoots so good and wants another one. Not sure how tight the groups are but they must be pretty damned good for him to want two of them.

No insert for me. I'd rather buy a new rifle. I originally posted this question because I wasn't sure if it would be just a head space adjustment or something minor. At this point I can only afford to pick up one or the other unless they are pretty cheap, I've only got about $100 right now. I found Blackhawk bi-pods for about $45 but don't know if they are any good. There are some other brands that are even cheaper but I don't want total crap that will break...

I'm looking at getting a bipod for my Savage 111 and not sure if I should get a 6"-9" or 9"-13". I'll be doing some bench and some prone shooting. Might use it on my AR too. Thanks in advance.

I made one from PVC pipe and a 1/4-20x3/8"T Nut. It doesn't hold the rifle in place unattended but works awesome and cost less than $30 including the tripod.
