    338 ARC

I might be a weirdo, but I'd love to see somebody make a roller delayed .338ARC with the purpose being to eliminate piston and port pop from the sound signature. The cartridge should be a very good fit, especially since Hornady designed it to have minimal variances between supers and subs, so...

    Ok, this is cool news.

    338 ARC

I could have sworn I saw somebody making 338ARC barrels with a 1:6.5 Spectre twist but now I can't find it.

    338 ARC

Slightly off topic, but if it folded, it wouldn't be compliant. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

12.5 Grendel vs 14.5 6mm ARC your opinion counts

FWIW I run all my rifles suppressed 100% of the time. I would much prefer a 12” barrel to a 14.5” or longer with a can on it. Especially if I have to carry it around. But that’s just, like, my opinion, man. 😊

    338 ARC

Not that this exists yet, but if NAS3 cases have up to 2% more powder capacity than brass, that might get another 40 fps or so on supers just thinking linearly.

    New 2024 MPVO Options

My guess is that it's a production version of the British Ranger optic. But I just pulled that out of my tailpipe.

    New 2024 MPVO Options

Jumping back into this thread instead of creating another one, but here we are at the end of 2024, and I'm looking to pick up an MPVO around Black Friday. My criteria a little different than what's been discussed so far. My top priorities are: 1. Big eye box and forgiving eye relief. 2...

New GPO Super Compact MPVO 4-16 x 44i FFP mil shipping late May

Yeah, I'll never understand how companies come so close to giving me exactly what I want and then shit the bed in some critical aspect.

New GPO Super Compact MPVO 4-16 x 44i FFP mil shipping late May

Looks like they just announced a 3-12 version as well. Looks good, but the reticle is crap. https://attackcopter.com/2024/09/05/gpo-usa-announces-centuri-riflescope-series-roll-out/

    12.5” Build recommendations.

How did it work out? I found this thread in search results and am planning something similar around that Faxon barrel.

    Night Vision TNVC "Supergain" Tubes

Sounds like they needed to turn the gain down, or did they not have manual gain control on their particular binos?

Lightest LPVO (that will hold zero)

The Leupold Mark 3HD is listed at 9.6oz, but it isn't true 1x on the lower end.

Observations On The Effect Of Parallax Error When Shooting With An Aimpoint Comp M5 And A Trijicon MRO

I wonder if Trijicon has improved the parallax performance in the newer HD model? Regardless of the wide angle viewing aspects mentioned above this post.

    Night Vision Short range thermal/nv

Agreed, but what I'm thinking is getting something with a more useful display than a COTI while allowing full time I2 usage without having to manipulate the google system. Reason being is I recently completed my first NV force on force training class and let me tell you, mixed lighting...
