Rifle Scopes SWFA 5-20x50 HD vs Midas TAC 6-24x50?

My other SWFA, the 3-15x42 FFP, is in an Aadmount. Like a brick.

Rifle Scopes SWFA 5-20x50 HD vs Midas TAC 6-24x50?

The SWFA is here. I like it. The side focus is rather stiff, but it's starting to loosen a little. I'll know more when I put it on the rifle and shoot...which is AT LEAST a month away due to work. Thanks for all the input.

Rifle Scopes SWFA 5-20x50 HD vs Midas TAC 6-24x50?

Well, that's the thing. I can't find any of those priced below $1500 (e.g., DMR3 at EuroOptic). SWFA had a sale, and the 5-20x50 HD was $780. Around $800 was my limit for this. I'll certainly keep an eye out for those other models, even if only to grab a peek through one if possible, but...

Rifle Scopes SWFA 5-20x50 HD vs Midas TAC 6-24x50?

OK, order placed for the SWFA 5-20x50 SS, plus their mount and sunshade. Breathe...in...out... I appreciate all the input; it was very helpful.

Rifle Scopes SWFA 5-20x50 HD vs Midas TAC 6-24x50?

I read that. I might would go for the Bushy, but the SWFA sale ends May 1. At this point the SWFA is the front-runner.

Rifle Scopes SWFA 5-20x50 HD vs Midas TAC 6-24x50?

I've never had the chance to look through any "better" Bushnell optics, so I have that age-old question about the glass...in particular, in comparison to the SWFA 5-20. Any thoughts there?

Rifle Scopes SWFA 5-20x50 HD vs Midas TAC 6-24x50?

I bought zero stop shims from him for my 3-15x42 :) Yep, that busts the budget! Yes, I'd LIKE more mag...but it must be GOOD mag. I appreciate the info; it's helping me to decide.

Looks good on paper. Out of stock though. Thanks for the pointer.

Rifle Scopes SWFA 5-20x50 HD vs Midas TAC 6-24x50?

Anyone ever compare these two? I have an SWFA 3-15x42 FFP that I've had a few years. I put in on an SPR-ish rifle in 5.56mm with a White Oak barrel, and I've had a lot of fun and education shooting to 600m (I haven't done as much as I'd like, but I've done more that I had...). I have an M&P...

    First Range Finder?

I emailed Kestrel tech support the other day, as I'm trying to figure out what I want vs what I can afford for a LRF...they told me that none of the Sig Kilo 2200BDX, 1800BDX, or 1600BDX would connect to the 5700 with Link. That matches what is on their web page...

So far they have been! I’m thrilled with that sale price.

    BadRock South Fork

Ha, I did the same thing last week. Agonized between that and dropping a Tikka CTR out of its plastic stock and into a chassis of some flavor. I shoot service rifle, mostly with M1 just to have fun, and this will be my first PRS-style rifle. Wife approves, since 30th anniversary coming up...

Rifle Scopes Brownell's 5-25x56 MPO is finally in stock!

The reticle is 50/50 for me. I like elements of both. That’s part of my difficulty :). I do intend to dial elevation and hold windage. I do think having the higher effective thickness at lower mags in the MPO will help me, but the higher brightness of the ETR MIGHT be needed. Decisions...

Rifle Scopes Brownell's 5-25x56 MPO is finally in stock!

I'm trying to decide between a 5-25x56 MPO and an Ares ETR 4.5-30x56. Really hard call for me, since I have to rely on specs and reviews, and can't put hands/eyes on them ahead of time. Any thoughts? This is for a Badrock South Fork in 6.5 Creedmoor, for out to ~1k yards. PRS (maybe)...

    Optimum barrel length for .22LR

Longer, as in 24" to 28", barrels are definitely quieter, especially with subsonic ammo.

Rifle Scopes SWFA SS Black Friday Sales

Ow, ow, ow...but that 3-15x42 is going to be the totality of my Christmas present. I love my wife :-) And the 20% off code worked, as of 1650 EST...
