    Rifle Scopes Lapping scope rings?

Well,.... If you use high quality rings and base's or base I would say the lapping is not needed. I currently have a near one piece base and EGW,TPS, and vortex branded rings and have no issues

    Suppressors Form 4 wait time

My sincerest apologies to you all, I figured the nfa branch as a whole was slowed down by the thousands of bogus questions per day. Turns out I was wrong and learned a valuable lesson.

    Suppressors Form 4 wait time

I see a disturbing trend of (I want it now) folks who are calling and wasting time of our ATF examiners in this thread. NFA is a field for the patient, stop slowing the system worrying about yourself. Say what you would like but I'm sure I'm not the only one irritated with this. Stop calling...

    Suppressors SS Sparrow

I'm not sure of the older version of sparrow but the new one is rated for the hornet and I have used my (new) sparrow on a hornet before with success. It is still loud due to the sonic crack but it is far better ( quieter ) none the less.

Suppressors SWR octane 45 HD vs liberty mystic ..........

Well, the paperwork is off for my new mystic but I'm sure I will have a octane 45 in the future. I would also like to hear James's take on supers through the octane as well. If it ever makes the rating for 300blk supers it would sweep the market for a multiple caliber can.

Suppressors SWR octane 45 HD vs liberty mystic ..........

I am after the unicorn of suppressers I think.... I am looking for a can that is user serviceable (I do cast for pistols) and will allow me to push the limits of 300 blk and 357max. I have very little desire to run it on a ctg above 1150 fps as super anything does not float my boat. I would...

vortex ranger 1000 -vs- Bushnell 1300 g-force arc

I have a vortex ranger 1000 and I really like it.... It dosnt have ballistic calc inputs or multiple ctg busy stuff. It offers a straight line of sight and a angle compensated distance reading and I happen to like the simplicity of it. I can range a juniper @ 6-700 yds off hand with little...

    Rifle Scopes Weaver 3x15x50mm FFP

Another happy 3-15 EMDR owner here. I have my weaver mounted on top of my fn A1a and it functions just fine for my intended uses. The glass is superbly clear and the tracking has been spot on and repeatable since day one. This scope does lack a few features such as a zero stop and a sunshade...

Advice needed on Ar15 for mid range shooting

I'm sure your thread will drum up plenty of information from folks with a lot more experience than me but here it goes. Of the two calibers you listed neither lend themselves to 500-1000yd shooting, having said that I'm sure the 223 would be a lot of fun ath those ranges with a tight twist bbl...

How can this be? A non-free-float barrel shoots well.

The answer seems pretty straight forward to me, leave it be and shoot the twist out of it. I have seen several rifles that are sub moa that have very poor fit, having said that when a gun won't shoot I suspect the torque and look for bedding issues.

Converting a commercial crosshair Redfield to an M40 accurange Redfield

Wonderfully done so far, I'm excited to see the finished product.

    Cheapest rings/base you would get

In my opinion and it's already been said, EGW base and TPS rings. Both are well made products that won't break the bank on a cheaper set up.

    All Done!! (pic heavy)

The rifle is a looker for sure, but the knife block is awesome. I wouldn't mind having one of each

Rifle Scopes Vortex scopes must have an awful lot of problems

Well put Sir... I agree with your point %100. It sounds like the vortex warranty treated you right but the scope it's self let ya down. Some folks have the patients to deal with a send it back until it's right company and some do not. Broke Be careful what you hear in a sales meeting as...

Rifle Scopes Vortex scopes must have an awful lot of problems

Blah,blah,blah...... I said I had limited experience with them. with approx 200rds out of the 4-16 and three range trips maby 50-75 rds with the 2.5-10. that is my first hand experience with vortex. Sorry I pissed you off, to avoid this problem in the future I won't ever recommend a optic to a...

Rifle Scopes Vortex scopes must have an awful lot of problems

Limited personal experience but I have two shooting buddies/ co workers that have PST's (4-16& 2.5-10) and both have issues... The 4-16 is murky/hazy and The 2.5-10 won't track true and jumps when dialing elevation. I wanted a PST more than anything a while back but I had a weaver FFP budget ;)...

FN SPR am I expecting to much ?

I feel your pain, I tried fgmm 175's out of my SPR A1a recently and it printed an honest 1-1.25 MOA. On the flip side with 37.2 grns of WC844 and 175 SMK's loaded to 2.980" it shoots an Honest .250-.500 MOA group. You have to find what they like

A poll - Is your weekly income more than $219.95 USD

Work my @$$ off 7-10 months a year and get laid off/ odd jobs the other and I would guess I make a little over $220/week on average. 1,000+ hrs of overtime in 7 months is a nice thing for toys but a it takes away from family time. Gotta work for it

Rifle Scopes weaver tactical vs vortex pst

I would have to echo the above post about the weaver, it's tough a nails and the optical clarity and tracking are wonderful. My co worker and shooting buddy has a vortex 4-16 pst and we both agree the resolution in the weaver is better. I am curious about CST's comment on the eyebox for the...
