Who does Bolt Knobs for CZ's?!!!

Subscribed. I'd be interested in a longer bolt handle/knob. With the high throw on the CZ, it's hard to mount scopes very close to the bore while still leaving room for your hand to work the bolt knob.

How close is too close for the bolt handle and scope?

Is that why some guys have those aftermarket flattish looking bolt knobs - to get more clearance so they can mount the scope real low?

How close is too close for the bolt handle and scope?

I've got a scope that, with caps, comfortably clears the barrel - about 0.1" gap. The bolt handle barely clears the ocular bell - about 0.01 - 0.02". Are there any downsides to running it that close? I suppose this will limit how fast I can work the bolt given the reduced space for my hand.

Advanced Marksmanship Determining range using MOA reticle?

2 hashmarks on either side of the center? That would be 8 MOA. Sent using Tapatalk

no room in house, so thinking about a "portable" reloading bench...

Would you mind posting a pic of your setup? I'm looking to get a Dillon 550 and thinking about mounting it to a Workmate since I don't have a lot of space to work with and would like a setup I can breakdown and store away when not reloading.

Newb to prone with some questions

For guys who press the stock against the clavicle, does repeated recoil pushing against that small bone bother you at all?

Newb to prone with some questions

I'm interested in getting into prone shooting, and have done some reading on NPA, and have been doing a little dry fire practice at home with my scoped AR-15 with a bipod (waiting on new scope for my bolt gun). I've got a few questions if y'all could help me out: 1. I set my scope based on a...

Rifle Scopes Fixed power magnification for rimfire trainer

What rings did you use? Seems like despite the 42mm objective, you'd still need fairly tall rings to clear the bolt handle.

Rifle Scopes Fixed power magnification for rimfire trainer

On a rimfire trainer being used mostly at 50-200yds, with occasional 200-300yds use, would you prefer a fixed 6x or 10x? At what distance could you get small groups with a 6x?

Rifle Scopes Got a BSA 4-14x44 mil-mil ffp scope? Help me select scope rings and BC covers please

I'm buying the BSA 4-14x44 mil-mil ffp scope and need to figure out what scope rings and which size Butler Creek covers to get. I'm a newb to buying these parts as all the scopes I've purchased in the past came with rings and covers (and often came with the gun itself). For the Butler Creek...

Rifle Scopes BC Flip up sizes

Anyone know the right size front and rear covers for the BSA 4-14x44 ffp scope at Midway? The listed specs are: Objective Bell Diameter: 51mm Ocular Bell Diameter: 43mm But not sure if those are outside diameters.

Rifle Scopes Vortex Viper zero stop setting question

So how do you ensure you don't lose track of which rotation 'level' your windage zero is on? I guess you never have to make a full rotation of the windage turret (1 full rotation of the turret on this scope is 24 MOA), so you'll never need to rotate above/below the rotation 'level' that your...

Rifle Scopes Vortex Viper zero stop setting question

I've got a Viper PST 1-4x24 scope. The windage turret has a space for the shims, just like the elevation turret. Should I be shimming the windage turret just like the elevation turret? I guess that would limit the amount of windage correction I could dial in to the left, while leaving more...

    Post approval timing

I'm a relatively new member, and my earlier posts showed up on the site immediately, but when I submitted a post yesterday, I was notified that it would have to receive moderator approval. It's been nearly a full day since.

Rifle Scopes Scope and cheek positioning

OK, so I found a comfortable cheek weld while seated, and then moved the scope to get good eye relief at max magnification. Turns out I had to move the scope as far rearward as the rings and base would allow. Other than being a little aesthetically displeasing, is there anything wrong with...

Rifle Scopes Zeroing a scope - does anyone use the following method?

Saw this on another forum: To sight in the scope, you want as stable a firing position as possible and, generally, fairly accurate (consistent) ammo. You want at least some kind of front rest. Set up a target about 25 yards out to get started. Ideally your target should have some vertical and...

Rifle Scopes Scope and cheek positioning

I'm trying to optimally position a scope. My understanding is that you should set the scope at max magnification, then slide the scope back and forth until you eliminate any shadow around the edges. But is there an optimal spot where my cheek weld should be? Because if there isn't, I can mount...
