I am a reloader, but for the time being, I am between residences and cannot set up my press, nor have I started loading for the rifle. I shoot a Rem 700 AAC-SD in .308 (1:10 twist) with some popular accuracy mods which include an aftermarket stock, trigger, and nice base, scope, and rings...
Newbie to the bolt game, and here as well, but have been shooting for decades now, and have a good mechanical aptitude. I intend on doing my first bedding job on my Rem 700 AAC-SD within the next few weeks. The action is now in a B&C Medalist stock. I've reviewed several threads concerning...
I was thinking I could mount a rail, then use the monopod beneath the stock in the flat spot located where the sling stud is.... Thinking it might orient my muzzle a little low though, sometimes I just jam a sandbag beneath it. Any thoughts? Thanks
I need to ask a question. When I tried to mount it to my Rem 700 AAC-SD this was my series of events. Working on level kitchen table, rifle level, Ken Farrell base level to rifle, Badger Ordinance Max-50's level to rail. Drop in scope, bubble level on top of turret reads level, I think I'm...
Just received my Vortex PST 6-24x50 and need an idea on ring height. I saw the sticky thread above on determining height, and Mr. Seekins following input, but I don't know my barrel contour, I thought it was Sandero though? Due to the praise here for the Seekins Rings, I am going that way...
After filling the Internal mag on my Rem 700, is iit ok to load the chamber with a 5th round and close thr bolt behind it, or should I just pick one up from the mag, then top off. I know this practice is NG for the extractor when using a 1911, so I thought I would ask. Thanks.
Being new to the bolt action platform I'm looking into a replacement stock for my new Rem 700 AAC-SD. It appears there is not much love for the B&C Medalist 5 with the adjustable comb? From what I understand they are aluminum bedded from behind the action up to the front of the forearm. Seems...
I'm new to the bolt action platform and have a quick question concerning bedding a stock for my Rem 700 AAC-SD. A friend of mine has stock that was originally bedded for the Surgeon action, but said it's easy to re-bed for my S/A Rem. I don't recall of it's a McMillan or Manners, but I'm...
