For what you would pay for high end ammo, you might as well get into reloading and tune it to your gun. Better ammo for you then off the shelf and cheaper in the long run
Ive done burnt bronze a couple of times and really like it. It looks good with FDE I think. The finish wear is good. but I don't experience with other colors.
Even if you don't have the boxes and take the time to load them directly into that speed loader, then load the mag, you would nearly be done with the old fashion way one by one. This thing has to be loaded, so it can load the mag. cool, but I don't see it being a hot ticket item.
Just shot a 12 point 2 weeks ago with this...dropped him in his tracks at 180yrds. 150gr nosler green tip ballistic hunting bullet 43.2 gr of IMR4320 2.78 OAL. out of a DPMS LR308L
If you look on you tube you'll find some quite lengthy videos with head to head comparisons. The Benny Cooley design seems to get great reviews. I ordered a $30 stainless break from Harrell's Precision for my win mag and it works very well. I'm thinking about doing that one again for my LR308
I don't know how much weight fluting will remove. I have a dpms LR308L that comes from the factory with a HB turned down to 750 at the gas block for weight savings and a carbon fiber handgard. A friend of mine has the same length barrel only full heavy, with a standard DPMS quad rail, and...
I had a similar problem with my DPMS....my first issue was the scope(cheap) and once I got that fixed it was combination of my abilities and the ammo. having only shot bolt guns growing up, I had to change my shooting habits to get consistent results. And on top of that those results rely...
I broke 2 pins this week on my lee dies hitting 308 brass that has the 3-stamp square crimp on them. Im thinking about going through my brass and throwing all those away since I cant seem to remove those primers.
That's like asking where to buy a car. There are hundreds if not thousands of AR accessory websites. Some are bigger than others like Brownells. But there are a lot of tactical shops online.
Yes they are stock. The trigger is a standard milspec weight but its not gritty so Im fine with it. This gun is close range only. Under 50 yards but I can stack them on top of each other with my reloads. My DPMS 308 I shoot 1 moa with my reloads. Last weekend I shot a 5 round group and all...
I don't have any personal experience with them, but was told by an avid long range guy that the benefit from moly coating is more a marketing ploy. Also you run the risk of the moly building up in the barrel so you have to clean it out regularly. ....so I don't really know what the benefit...
That's a grip pod. Its spring loaded and deploys with the push of a button. It also removes very easily if you don't want it on there. If you put the parts on yourself and save the labor cost, with out optics on my DPMS I have right at $1200 in it and it runs incredibly well....but Im a range...
I wouldn't necessarily agree with the pay now or pay more later statement. Paying later has 2 advantages. The first being you can pick from any handgaurd you want, and the second being paying at your own pace. I bought a DPMS oracle for $599. A few couple months later bought a diamond head...
I have 2 DPMS guns. One 556 and one in 308. I believe most out of the box AR's are 1 MOA capable. It all comes down to the shooter. I see people constantly talk about sub moa out of an auto thinking they need to spend thousands. Its just like racing motorcycles...its all about the person...
I have a DPMS LRL 308 and shoot sub MOA with it but it took me a good 300 shots or so to figure it out. Which really was a pain because I shoot my Rem700 sub MOA all day and for the life of me couldn't figure out why I was shooting 3" groups when I first got it. I put a PRS stock on mine which...
Was that a kit? How did she know where to get all the parts? on a side note, I had an abscessed tooth a few months back, somehow I talked my wife into driving me to the gun show...I walked out with a new Sig Scorpion. When they do that, their a keeper!!
