Granted, I don't know shit about anything, and this is while the gun is still being broke in, and I don't have much time behind a .308 gas gun or any gun for that matter..... I'd give the Black Hills Match 168 grain a chance before writing them off.
I do believe I read in this forum, or somewhere else where Mr. Gardner does actually recommend Black Hills Match 168 BTHP. I also want to say I read somewhere that he recommends Copper Creek 168? Says that the gun is designed to run on those. I have exactly 160 of those through mine to date...
I appreciate the response. I'm new to all of this and being new usually means catching shit or worse. I knew about Sac from reading here. ( I read 1k X's more than I would ever think of posting. Just trying to learn). I know of Coalinga, only by name because a friend of mine shoots there from...
Not to derail the thread, but can I please ask where you are shooting out past 2000m? I'm in the Bay Area as well, and I don't know where to find a range past 200 yards around here. I know that Sacramento has at least 1000 yards, but you need to be a member. Thanks in advance for the information.
I had hoped I was really clear about the problem I was having. Nothing has dropped into the trigger assembly. If I tighten the screws, the way you think you need to tighten the screws (until it bottoms out on the pin) it causes the trigger to get stuck. After I loosened the screws, the...
KNS style, they were not oversized. The stock pins fit fine, but I noticed on the PDF instructions from Geissele that there could be a difference where the grooves are cut. It's my plan to get a set of Geissele pins and replace the stock ones before bringing the rifle back out.
I contacted GAP explaining the situation and requesting a set of pins. I figure they must have a couple of hundred sets laying around since they come with the triggers but don't use them. Just on hold until someone answers my email. If I can't get them from GAP, I will contact Geissele. In the...
Wow..... Now I see why these pins are not approved for use with this trigger. As soon as I loosened the screws-----To a point where there was absolutely no tension to hold the screw from rotating, the trigger "clicked" and operated without problems. Obviously, they've got to go. I have a couple...
The pins were installed at GAP. That was the very first thing they said at the LGS that did the FFL. "These pins are not approved for use with this trigger."
GAP-10 .308 2 stage Geissele trigger Last weekend during the post range inspection/wipe down/placing in gun safe, after my third trip to the range with my GAP-10 in .308, I noticed the anti-rotation pin had loosened up and was hanging from the screw on the left side of the receiver. I grabbed...
This happened in our neighborhood about 18 months ago. Some 13 and 14 year olds stole a car and were joyriding it through the hood. Lost it at a 4 way stop and drove it into the common area between the two houses on the corner. Hit both gas meters..... "BOOOMMMMMM!!!!!" Both houses burned down...
I think the new iPhone has a built in barometer. OS8 will support that. I would hope all the ballistic calculators are being updated to support that feature. That $50 adapter that measures wind is looking pretty good now. Not exactly a Kestrel, but another option
