Thank you!! It is a great scope. I have a Class III Thompson being approved hopefully between now and 2035, and I don’t think this is the right optic for it. PM’s answered. Thank you for the interests.
If anyone has FOMO for missing out on this Kales k312 (https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/kahles-312.7206576/), I have a Kahles K312 3-12x50 Counter Clockwise MSR Reticle available. Badger rings negotiable. Excellent condition. $1450 shipped/insured. Some good info and comments in...
I may have one. Just changed barrels on a .243 Win with ~1600 rounds on it. It is a 24" threaded #4 Bartlein 1:7.7. Let me know if you think the taper is too tight to do what you want. I should get it back in the next week or so, and we can figure out if it would fit your needs.

Idiot proof, check. I definitely do not need another caliber for which to find ammo, much less 2. But, since when has NEED entered into a firearm procurement decision. I will PM you some possible trade items to see if I have something you may be interested in.
Thanks folks. I have a couple "nicer" carbon tripods, but they are bigger and heavier than I was looking for backpack-hunting. I bought this one: https://www.rei.com/product/170490/nikon-compact-outdoor-tripod It is not as tacti-cool as some of the others, but it is pretty compact (17x3.3x3.3)...
I will not be shooting from it. I have a couple of tripods I shoot from. For this tripod, I want something light and packable for glassing with spotter. But, since you brought it up, what tripod do you use?
Anyone have a recommended small, light tripod for spotting scope for hunting (to carry in a backpack)? Max height probably does not need to be >40" or so. Low weight and packability are preferred over durability/heft.
