    Archery Practice

I finally bought a takedown recurve early in 2020. I do some practice in my backyard and when out shooting I bring the recurve bow to cut back on ammo used up. Friends thought that's a great idea and some of them started bringing bows too.

Thinking I want a Fuji camera

I like my Fuji XT-3 in chrome. I like not having to dig through menus or touch a screen to change the shutter speed, aperture, or ISO. Feels like old school film camera. I started with a fully manual film SLR with splitscreen viewfinder. And from a quick glance from the top I know what setting...

Considering Nikon Monarch Fieldscope or Leupold Mk 4 - any input?

I have the Nikon Monarch Fieldscope ED 16-48x60 now. I like it. I had the previous Nikon Fieldscope III. I wanted good quality without the high premium prices. Sometimes I wish I had a reticle. I've gotten by without ever having a reticle in the spotter so that's just how I run. The fixed...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Why is this G17L selling for $4500?

If people don't mind a modern recreation of the gen 1, they can buy the new Glock P80. https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2020/08/31/glock-p80/

Rifle Scopes How Far Do You Shoot With A Red Dot

I changed from 3x prism to a red dot recently . I didn't like the 3x prism for up close multiple target. There is no perfect one optic do all. I switched to red dot since I don't live on a ranch or farm where may need the 200+ yds. I felt optimizing for the 150 yd and under was more important to...

Maggie’s Is it me or have package delivery taken a crap..

I guess I'm the odd man out. I've been lucky. All of my packages in the past couple months have arrived on the scheduled day while couple packages have even arrived a day early. I do have really late package stories from years ago though.

Accessories Wanted: Thumbhole skin for AI AT

Pre-covid the thumbhole skins were already hard to find. Is the production of the thumbhole skins very low volume?

Scope caps - Why flip up rather than to right?

I do a mix of both. Front cap flips to the right. Rear cap flips up. I agree with Baron23, so the rear cap won't block windage turret that is on the right (could be different if windage is in different location).

    Movie Theater My Octopus Teacher

Darn, it's only on Netflix. I'm a scuba diver and seeing octopuses while diving is fascinating.

Rifle Scopes Best price on Vortex Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27x56mm EBR-7c

Don't forget the mount. I'll vouch for Liberty Optics too. If you're not in a rush, great deal there. All about the timing when the sales happen.

    Compact (non electric) ranging monoculars

The Vortex uses a ranging reticle in MRAD.

    Compact (non electric) ranging monoculars

That's the only compact monocular with reticle that I can think of from the top of my head. I don't think there are many choices.

    Cross Dominance

I'm right-handed and left eye dominant too. When shooting rifles I have no issues shooting with optics or iron sights. The long sight line helps me stay focussed with my right eye. When shooting handguns, my head is slightly turned to the right to favor my left eye. With archery you're...

Fieldcraft CB radios more secure than HAM?

You also wouldn't want to use a handheld CB radio. Bulky and inefficient. Stick with hamradio then you can utilize a mix of handheld and mobile or base stations depending on the situation.
