New member looking for Rimfire advice

I bought both the T1X and the CZ457 as suppressor hosts and offhand backyard plinking. I'm leaning hard toward the CZ457. It sounds like you are well aware of the feature sets of each brand, so I'll skip to my Tikka gripes; 1. The Tikka barrel is surprisingly heavy for offhand shooting, yet...

    Precision Rifle Gear TRG bipod

I'm being told the goal is to have the apex of the legs connect above the barrel. (triangle of stability) Your options appear to do that. Here are some others; https://eliteiron.com/elite-iron-revolution-bipod/...

    Terminus Actions

Now that some time has passed and these actions are a bit more mainstream, I'm curious to know if there are any scope mounting options for the Terminus bolt pattern that utilize the one-piece ring and base combo that Talley kinda made famous? I know Hawkins Precision and Leupold also have their...

Ever had the USPS steal a firearm you shipped?

You are correct. Only handguns. Per the website, long guns are mailable, and the recommendation is a nondescript package via registered mail

Ever had the USPS steal a firearm you shipped?

Non-FFLs can’t ship firearms via USPS anyway. That’ll be their final answer to you when you push. EDIT: only applies to handguns

    SAKO TRG-S M995 Questions

I have some info to share, as I cut my teeth on a TRG-S as my first precision rifle. Needless to say, choosing one in 7mmRM helped me develop a flinch I still fight with today. . . . but I digress. The TRG-S is indeed the famous TRG action (M995) with a sporter barrel and super shitty...

    Howa Mini questions

Yes sir. And thank you. And good catch. The barrel OD is literally the same as the action diameter. Some guys thought I should have gone with the smaller shank variant, but I like the look of the matching diameters. Plus that smaller shank OD variant seems hard to get these days.

Jefferson Outdoors 6.5 Grendel mags CZ 527 magazines with steel followers. Probably one of the nicest mags I've ever used, and still available for a reasonable price. I bought four of them myself just in case though. Also the smoothest feeding system I've tried to date. It is almost an...

    Bino recommendation for teenagers

I've outfitted lots of first-timers for several years now including kids and open-minded folks. They were all pleasantly surprised to learn that a low-vibration, relaxing, and immersive view is the best. Frankly, there really needs to be more 7x42mm and even 6x32mm options available. For some...

    Bino recommendation for teenagers

I would encourage you to consider an 8x42 platform. The larger exit pupil will give them better low-light performance and a more relaxing eyebox. Not to mention a wider field-of-view. That said, Nikon M7 8x42mm come to mind. 435 ft @1000 yards, only 23.6 ounces, and less than $500.
