I have a savage hog hunter with a swfa 3x15. The iron sights make for an excellent secondary sight.

Sure, adjust the scope to hit 4 mils high. Problem solved.

Is this a serious question from the op? Did it really spark any debate? Op, if the scope lines up with or eye, ur good! If not, then you need to build up the stock, restock, or change rings.

I couldn't give you a comparison between the glass in the 3x15 and anything else in the class. This is the best glass I have owned. I think it better than the Burris hunting scope on my .243 and better than my brothers Nikon. But with the great turrets, glass, warranty, reputation, I don't think...

Nope the swfa is built like a tank. I have never owned a vortex scope and as long as swfa's optics are around the price (or slightly cheaper), I never will. I have been 100% happy with swfa's service and the 3x15.

Looks good, I like it. I just picked up a hog hunter and a swfa 3-15. Down the the road I'll be going the same route with an aftermarket stock and bm. I look forward to your range report.

Try a Howa action. I have one that's over 40 years old, zero problems. Pull the bolt all the way back, then firmly all the way forward. Zero problems.

I've also been planning to build a .308 carbine and have been looking at the SWFA 3x9 and 3x15. Might be worth a look, solid warranty and good reputation ( at least for the 3x9).
