    Sidearms & Scatterguns Wife's wanting a handgun

My girlfriend is a pretty good shot but I won't let her carry for 2 reasons. A: she doesn't practice enough. B: she won't carry on her body. I know a lot do it but I don't like off body carry. To easy for someone to grab a purse or bag. I know to many women that probably should file the front...

As far as 7mm cartridges go, can the 280 Rem. be made into very accurate rifle?

No need to fireform 280 AI. Brass is readily available if you know where to look. As long as the reamer used is a SAAMI spec. The OP original question was is it as accurate. Yes it is as a 280 or 280ai.

Ackley all the way. Factory components readily available for it. I have an action in the safe that's going to be a 25"+brake 280AI

Photos weld bend test i just did

I weld sometimes helping buddies out when they get jammed up and need a welder for a few days. BUT I make my living as an NDE tech. I work on pretty much anything you can think up made from metal and some stuff that's not metal LOL. Those tig welds look decent. Keep at it hood time and you'll...

OGIVE vs COAL measuring, what do I need and how do I do it?

I would think the best way to go about it would be to. First measure and find the lands. The take a measurement to the ogive. Use that for your starting measurement then subtract how far back you want to seat it. Mag length will also be a factor to consider. I'm kind of a newb measuring to the...

    Looking for good hearing protection.

Monkey, I don't know about you but when they made mine it felt like he was trying to touch my brain. It was all good until the 2nd ear went in then it was super awkward. Almost claustrophobic(and I don't ever get that feelining) nothing you can't fight through though.

    Looking for good hearing protection.

I got a set of custom molded plugs for $60 at the outdoor show in Harrisburg pa. I think it was $60 for plain $99 for ones with speakers to plug into a device such as an iPod, and the electronic ones were like $170. I like mine so much I'm having a set made just to use at work. Wearing foam roll...

Hunting & Fishing Sent Blocking Camouflage, Truth or Fiction?

Hunting & Fishing Sent Blocking Camouflage, Truth or Fiction?

I have camo that is both. But I think if you take caution in your prep it won't make a difference. I wash everything in scent free wash then dry with dirt dryer sheets. Then it all goes into a homemade "scent free" tote. I don't open said tote in the house or wear my camo anywhere but the woods...

    Gun Cage?

Maybe use a top middle bottom to lock or a heavy piece of solid stock the length of door to make it harder to pull the corners back. Sent from my XT1058 using Tapatalk

    Gun Cage?

Expanded metal can easily be cut with a set of bolt cutters. Only other thing I see wrong is everything is visible. A possible thief can see everything you have. Other then that its a cool idea. Sent from my XT1058 using Tapatalk
