Watch Out for Scammers!
We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
I guess it depends on your AO. Here in the PACNW it's cold in the winter, hot in the summer, and windy/ rainy most of the spring. So if you want to get out there then weather will always be an issue. Some of the best times are out in the snow anyways so that's not a big deal. The wind with gusts...
I'll admit "glamping" seems more attractive all the time lol. A shooting mat is part of my gear, although I keep a wool blanket for easy set up in my rig.
This time of year I'll hunt/ shoot in all weather. Otherwise I'll never get to get out shooting/ hunting. I've always trained in all weather. The only time I don't go out in all weather patterns is when the roads get too muddy thus damaging unnecessarily. Or when the game I'm hunting will hole...
I used to hand trickle extruded powders that gave me the best accuracy. This was before temp insensitive powders came on the market. Then I hand trickled them because I live in areas where the temps swing wildly. But ball powders really save me time and for .223/ 5.56 the useable range is around...
Yeah I took a ton of penalties because I didn't follow their protocols. I got tired of the guys from the chess club telling me what was "tactical" and what wasn't. Also why would you shoot from a predesignated box? You wouldn't. I'd take shots when I could identify a threat, and distance was...
In IDPA it's usually a hostage or innocent bystander. That's one of the issues I had with competitions. The shooter has no discretion to make decisions on how to handle the situation. So if the designer of the course is focused on the difficulty of getting through a course of fire in the...
Sorry for all the troubles Frank. I'm out of large scale manufacturing, but when I was in it could be a pain. I'm sure it's exponentially worse after the pandemic AND world current events. Hang in there Bud, and thanks for the update.
Moving out of the US would be like moving from Oregon back to the midwest for me. Sure the cost of living might be great. The midwest, at least Iowa, would have far better politics which would be an added advantage. But the ability for me to do the outdoors activities in wide open spaces would...
We have one a Mossberg LR Tactical at the shop. It's nice although I think the length of pull one both the KRG and Magpul can be adjusted shorter. which is important if you want to shoot with a more modern rifle position. Mid chest verses in the shoulder pocket. I feel like the KRG Bravo is...
I have a KRB Bravo for my Rem 700. I like it but manipulating the bolt is slower than a traditional hunting stock due to the pistol grip. I installed a Magpul on a customer's Ruger American 6.5 CM. They liked it a lot, the only complaint is it's much heavier than the factory stock.
Pretty much the same price if he chose a Remarms 700. I chose a Remington but a Howa would be great also. I prefer the Howa bolt angle and the M16 style extractor. But rebarreling is potentially cheaper on the Remington. I went to Remington's armorer school so that's why I went with Remington on...
I stopped using it, but in the past I've used the Lee Factory Crimp die in .223/ 5.56 heavy loads. It did seem to help with ES/SD's. All tested on Oehler Ballistics lab.
At least with a real taser, not a stun gun, he could of got full body lock on the perp. I don't think the shooter was ready to use lethal force. non-lethal is easier to commit to.
Well it looks like the driver/ worker noticed the car jacker coming around the other side of the truck to get to the driver's side. So he should of secured the truck or at least the keys which I assume were inside the truck. He had open air shots and waited until the guy was behind cover. If you...
California it was condors. Now the big push is for all raptors. Eagles came into play a while ago. And there are even some so called hunting groups and manufactures jumping on board.
