I have a NF that is already mounted in the rings (not to a rifle). The scope was mounted perfectly as far as reticle being level and the rings being torque down evenly.
When I install this onto my rifle, I will have to change the position of the scope in the rings in order to get the correct eye relief. I shold be able to maintain a level reticle by moving one ring at a time, correct?
What is the most common eye relief for a 3.5-15 NF scope? The scope is being mounted to a standard 700p. What is the best way to measure, get in prone position, set the scope in the base and measure distance from eyeball to lense?
Mounting the base, some suggest puting blue loctite on the actual reviever as well as the screws, about how much would you put on there?
