I really liked it. Even my wife, who is not into sci fi, liked it. We both enjoyed it because it is realistic human drama, even though the setting and circumstances are different. No stupid space stuff for the sake of stupid space stuff. As Kickin said, story line is ongoing, not just weekly "episodes". Characters are well developed and nuanced. Actors are pretty good.

Another fan here, binged a few episodes last night. Amos is probably my favorite character, glad to see the actor that plays him landed somewhere after The Unit tanked.
Excellent Visual rendition of what we old Sci fi fans used to refer to as "Space Opera".
Very well acted and very well visualized. That protomolecule is seriously scary, simply by being remotely possible. Don't know that it would pan out that way, but anything that hijacked our DNA or Mitochondrea is pretty scary.

I liked Altered Carbon as well, more of a Blade Runner type of series than a plausible space opera compared to The Expanse. One is worth checking out if you like the other, though.
Huh, I didn't realize Amos was in the unit. I watched the 1st couple seasons and then it turned into mostly wife's doing stupid shit and backwards scopes. I bailed sometime in the 2nd or early 3rd season, is Amos in it after that?
Yeah, he's in the last season as the new guy as the series was starting to get back to their face shooting roots. I agree, the middle seasons were basically a couple of the wives being whores and the trickle down effect that had.
