Rifle Scopes 0 moa vs 20 moa base

the rifle i am taking for a walk in the woods this year is my 20" 5R, KRG W3, tbac U9, and my new vortex hd lh (my gen2 razor is just too damned cumbersome). the problem i have is i can see the very end of the can with this scope for some reason. i don't have this issue with my gens 1 and 2 PSTs or gen2 razor. if i switch out to a 0moa base, will this help since the scope isn't angled down towards the muzzle? i haven't zeroed it yet as i just got the scope on wednesday and had to work all day yesterday, today and tomorrow. i think it will be fine for now, but but by the time i actually get it from midway it will be for next year or even the last few days of rifle season i will put the 0moa base on.

i'm getting ready to order some stuff from midway and was going to include the 0moa base if this would work.

Assuming your zero is the same, and the height of each rail is the same, your sight picture will be the same.

what if i went with higher rings? that should make it go away.

How much of a problem is it? Higher rings might remove it, but will obviously change your cheek weld.

it's more annoying than anything. like i said, i haven't shot it yet. the scope defiantly sits lower than my razor gen2 with NF med rings. the fellow hider i bought the scope from included vortex PMR low rings which is probably good for traditional monte carlo type hunting stock that has some drop to the comb

i took some measurement and the razor gen2 sits .53" higher than the HDLH. i got them as close as possible to the same spot on the barrel so barrel taper wouldn't be an issue.

as you can see, this just isn't going to work on 2x. i have always hunted on 4x, mostly because that was my hockey number thru out my career.

yes, i know the reticles look canted, but i assure you they are not. i'm not sure why they look that way. might be because i didn't tighten the bases to the rail.

i do have one of these i bought about 10 years ago when i didn't know any better lol. i still see the very tip of the can on 2x with the riser as i do without the riser on 4x. at 4x, i do not see the tip of the can.

Out of curiosity, what is the difference between the distance between the objective and the end of the suppressor between the two scopes when mounted?

the HDLH bell sits ~1.5" further back than the razor2

That's pretty wild! I wouldn't have expected the angled base to have much influence, but that's totally unusable at 2x.

Don't suppose you've got a set of higher mounts that you could try?

see my post #7. i tried that for shits an giggles and i can see the very tip of the can on 2x, on 4x i don't see anything. im getting ready to run to the store and see if they have any 0moa mounts (i highly doubt it) or decent quality taller 1" rings. my tikka has a 0moa rail, 22" barrel, no can. i can see a very slight what looks like a shadow, but its actually the tip of the barrel, on 2x.
