Currently building a sbr in 556 and lastly looking for an optic. Price range is $500 or under for scope without mount. Started seeing these new trijicon line of ascent scopes, but doesn't seem to be any reviews of the product yet. Also have been seeing viper pst gen1 and ranger series 1-4 scopes going for below $400 right now. Vipers have tons of possitive reviews, but looking for something with covered turrets so I can abuse and not worry about turrets moving. Should I give the Acent a try? Experience with either of these line?
