1:7 twist, 69 grain projectile.

.223 with a 1:7 twist. I have on hand some various assorted 69 grain bullets (smk's), some old stock horn. 68 grain. I also have quite a bit of H 4895. Was hoping to find a good load with this combo. Anyone have experience with this combo. Thanks.

I’ve not used 4895 with them, but I’ve used RL15 with good success. I can tell you my rifles just didn’t like the Hornady 68’s. The Sierra 69’s have been really good however.

I want to say 24gr of H4895 and a 69SMK at 2.245".

I should have added. I settled on 25 grains of RL15 with a Remington 7 1/2 primer in a Lake City case.
