I have a 308 with a 1 and 10 twist, I was looking for some opinions on what grain bullet to use. I am using 175 currently

some LR and hog hunting. I was also going to make up some subs in when my can gets approved

I have had good luck with the 165gr Nosler Accubond in a 1&10 for hunting and LR.

1/10 twist is a fast rate of twist- the 175 grain bullets shoot pretty well in it.
LMT MWS is just one model of firearm- but the 175's are consistently shooting best in the guns and they have 1-10 twist barrels.

You could look at the 178gn Amax. Excellent accuracy, and they do very nasty things inside a body cavity. Perfect for putting the hammer on piggies!
For subsonic work, I use either the 180gn or 220gn Round Nose from Sierra or Hornady. The 10tw bbl will stabilize them just fine with 10-12 gns of Trail Boss.
You could look at the 178gn Amax. Excellent accuracy, and they do very nasty things inside a body cavity. Perfect for putting the hammer on piggies!

I vote the 210 berger vld's should shoot great out of 1/10 and pack a good punch for smacking hogs.

I am shooting 168 gr Barnes TSX out of my 1:10 and they shoot very well. I have also used 175 gr and they are very reliable as well.

Don't think you'll over stabilize any weight in a 1 in 10 with 308. Not enough velocity. But that is just my opinion.
I would think the 175 SMK, 178 AMax, and most any 180 gr hunting bullet would work fine. Also, try the 190 SMK. They shoot well in 308 in my experience.

My 308 load is the 175 SMK, 44.7 grains Varget, FGMM primer, Lapua brass with COAL just inside what a AI AW magazine will allow. It gives me 2730 FPS at muzzle from a 22" Bartlein barrel. I use this load all the way to 1000 yards and have had no issue (other than my poor shooting).

But if you are looking for a new bullet to work just on steel and paper then look at the Hornady 178 BTHP. Has a .530 BC which is higher than the 175 SMK, .496, or the 178 AMAX, .495.

I shoot 1 in 10 with 190 SMK's over varget in lapua brass. Half MOA and 190's like the 208's buck wind pretty good.
