Does anyone have any experience using 1" inserts in 30mm scope mounts? I am very hesitant to use them but i figured i would get some solid information from experienced shooters that have used them. I added some new optics and rifles to the gun collection so i ended up with a Zeiss conquest which has a 1" tube and a LaRue LT-158 in 30mm, thanks for the input.

FWIW, I use them on different guns.
Got a 30mm LaRue, QD mount with them on my Trijicon Accupoint 1-4, mounted on my SR-15, no problems.

Also use them on a 30mm Spuhr mounted on my LWRC REPR with a Swarovski 3-18 Z5. Zero issues.

Only thing to beware of is to maintain a gap in both adaptors as you tighten the rings. Ditto the rings themselves. I actually like the ones I have, they are machined from Delrin and have a series of light grooves inside that helps them grip the scope tube. I doubt anything short of a 416 CT will cause a slip.

Thanks man, thats good info.

I use them on a .300WM with NF ultralight rings to hold a Swaro Z5. I took a black sharpe and marked where the inserts sat on the tube. After several hundred rounds, the scope has not moved a RCH.
