10/22 vs. 597

Wanting to get an accurate semi-auto 22. MOA to 1.5 MOA with decent (Wolf, SK, CCI SV, etc) ammo

Narrowed it down to one of 3 choices. Max budget is $450, but I already have a scope so just rifle.

1) 10/22-T out of the box

2) 10/22 and swap out barrel and modify stock or swap stock if budget allows

3) Rem 597 - either the HB, AAC-SD, or LS HB model and swap the hammer out for a Volquarsten

Thoughts?

A lot more aftermarket for the 10/22 but the Rem 597 would probably shoot better out of the box.

I have both a 597 target and 10/22 target and would keep 10/22 if I had to choose one of the 2. Plus with all the 10/22 aftermarket stuff it's fun to upgrade stuff if you feel like it.

I built 10/22's for my nephews for christmas, the test target is after I zero'd the scope and shot a 5 shot group for a test target to put in the case with the rifle.
