Has anybody ported the top side of the factory brake on the Savage 110Fcp-Hs .338LM? Muzzle jump is making it hard to spot those 1k impacts.

I am very interested in the results. I have had problem seeing hits with mine too, but I always assumed it was my shooting form.

Shot friday & today with a 1/8" hole drilled at 12o'clock, forward in the center port. I noticed a SLIGHT reduction in vertical climb, but nothing substantial. I will add more ports, and increase the diameters, incrementally.
