my buddy gave me 200 free 100gr vmax's
and i have a 300wm on its way from surgeon 26' 1/10 twist

i read threads from here and other forums that dont seem promising

can a safe effective load be had with 1/10 twist that can make it a decent distance

and yes im an Ahole

Those things will be screaming... I am not sure if the jackets will hold up for you.

Reduced loads may be your best bet if you are really wanting to use those up.

Personally I would just run them in a different rifles or sell them.

Skum,

They will be smoking and smoke your barrel. I did more damage to my hunting 300 WM by shooting 5 110gr. rounds than I did with the previous 300 rounds of 165s. Visible crackling down the first three inches of the bore while there was none before the 110s. I wouldn't shoot anything lighter than 165s in a 300.

I had a load for the 110 v max in my 30-06, Rock creek 26" 1/10 tw.
59.5 gr of Reloader 15 in a Remington case with Fed 210m primer.
3800 fps, shot great and 1 Mil less drop than my standard load of 190 smk at 2850fps at 600 yards.

What about shooting the 110s in a 308? Will it create accelerated wear on the bore like a 300? Or is it not enough to really worry about?

I have been wanted to try some in my sps tactical for coyotes.
