Hey guys, I got this from a guy off the hide a few weeks back and want to start loading for it as soon as my dies and brass arrive later this week.

Can I push a 140gr bullet fast enough to make it worthwhile out of a 6.5 Creed with a 16" barrel or should I use the 123 ELD-M? I shot the factory 140gr ELD-match since I had a box laying around and the accuracy was good, but I wanted to hear from you guys before I bought bullets.

What is your experience with the 6.5 shorties running a suppressor?

I have 800 140 ELD-M (from my 6.5-284) that I would prefer to use versus buying 123s, but don't want to waste my time if it isn't worth it.

It will be mostly a sub 1000 yard gun and more realistically 400-800 yards.

Thoughts? Some load info with velocities would be extremely helpful. I'll probably be using H4895 or 4350 since I have so much of it on my bench, but can buy other powders if absolutely necessary.

Yea I was reading another thread on here where a lot of people were using the 120-123s in their 16-20” barrels.

Might have to go hit the reloading Px for some 123s then. Was hoping I could use the 140s but if they’re like 2550 FPS then I might as well go lighter.
