Anyone have a good starting point for Berger Hybids 130gr using Varget for the 6.5 Creedmoor. I know H4350 is the common powder for this but not being able to find any in South Texas and having 13lbs of Varget on hand this seems to be the route to go at this time.

38.2 grains of Varget under the 130 AR hybrid in Hornady brass is my load for my JP barreled AR match rifle. This gives me mid 2700's from the 22" barrel for matches inside 600. If you are using a bolt action you may be able to reach a node higher...

H4350 is hard to find, but IMR 4451 is not. I have tried the 130 gr Berger AR Hybrids with RL 16, H4350 and IMR 4451. The clear winner was IMR 4451 in the 43.6 to 44.2 range with no pressure signs @84* F. This confirmed some ladder testing using all three powders the previous week. I'm going to load a bunch up at 44.0 gr and hope to shoot them later this week for groups @ 100 and 200 yds as well as separately velocity with my Magneto Speed Sport. The image below in new, sized 165.4gr Lapua cases with CCI 450 primers and the bullets were ~0.045 off the lands of my 20" Tikka T3x CTR. The pic is a cropped version of the larger test of the three powder which when I tried to post a note said it was too large. These loads were safe in my rifle with no pressure signs on the cases or primers nor did they have any stiff bolt lift, but may not be safe in your rifle! The max load listed by Sierra for their 130 TMK is 43.7 grains so start some below that in your rifle for safety.

I'm work on a load for a 18 bolt 6.5cm with 130 otms. Seam to like 43.9/44 h4350. Just loaded up a bunch to stretch out alittle further tomorrow

130 otm's did ok at 200 yard around 1inch. But really opened up at 300 yards, 3 inch at best. Even tryed a couple different trigger operators. Back to the drawing board. I'd really like to find a deer worthy bullet out to 6 or 700 yards. But not sure the 18 inch is going to do it??

I had a node with a JP 6.5 AR10 22", Varget, and 130 ELDms. 41gr was too high. 39 - 40.5 grains plugged in a 3" high by 5" wide zone at 500 yards. 3/4 moa at 100. settled on 40gr at 2750 fps and was stoked till i found out the 130 ELDM's put out a parachute and wind sail at 600 yards. Downloaded Litz's custom curve for confirmation and I was severly disapointed with the bullet choice. I figure the longer Hybrids might take up some powder room but I would love to drive the 130 Hybrid at the same node. Im scared to try as my gun hated factory FGM with the hybrid 130.

H4350 got up to 42gr with the same bullet, but never had a defined large node and I ran out of courage to go above 42gr. Varget was pushing faster.
