My berger 140 Hybrids all measure considerably shorter than the book length. Somewhere in the range of 1.2xx" versus the book 1.426"

Is this common with all of them, or just the earlier lot numbers? Also, what effect might this have on a ballistics solver such as the AB version when using the book length versus actual? The bearing area would presumably shrink with a short bullet, but as long as they are all similar velocity should remain close with all else being equal.

Also, what type of BC improvements have people actually observed when trimming the 140 Hybrid meplats and then pointing them? They already have a very small meplat so I would think it would be on the lower end of their % estimate but I'm looking for actual data shooters have witnessed.

Thanks

Yeah, I was way off. I typed that up while at work and without my notes. The actual from that lot is 1.390

I got in a new lot yesterday and checked them and they are around 1.405 +/-.003
