Hello, I have a 510 whisper rifle that I will be shooting subsonic. Since it is a switch barrel setup with 338 LM I have a 15 MOA picatinney rail used with the 338LM.
Will I be able to sight in at 100m with this scope or does it not have enough internal travel ? What is the best way to sight it in ? I dont want to miss the traget by a large amount.
Would aiming the barrel at the target (and looking thorugh it to make sure it is centered) and checking that the scope also is on target be enough ?

Thanks !

Yes, there is enough adjustment within the 3-12 Zentith to allow a 100 m zero on a 15 MOA rail. Bore sighting is always a good way to get on paper with a newly mounted scope when the erector position is unknown. Also, the posi-con knobs can be reset to the pointer indicator after you have established your zero.

Give me a shout at the service center if you have any issues or questions.

I would recommend with S&B hunting scopes (Klassiks, Zeniths, Fixed Powers) that you go with a 0 MOA base on your set-up. These scopes do not have very much internal travel at all - sometimes depending on your set-up, a 100yd zero is hard to obtain while trying to keep the scope close to its mechanical zero.

I have gone through this a few times with their hunting scopes - they are awesome scopes though!!

I've found it impossible to mount a 4-16 Klassik on a canted base over 10 MOA without bottoming out the erector due to its limited amount of travel. However, the 3-12 Zenith has a bit more travel (around 40 MOA) and I've only encountered problems when trying to mount these on a 20 MOA rail.

Bore/sight radius will of course play a big part in your individual results.

Thanks guys, hopefully I can get it to work.
The Zenith also has a comp so I'm all set for .510 subsonic hunting if I get this sighted in right :)
