ive recently picked up my third 308 AR and this time its the MWS with 16 inch barrel, traditionally i have really liked the 178 AMAX in my 22 and 18 inch barrels,
for both of those guns, my loads were right around 42 grains of IMR 4895
now that my MWS has a shorter barrel, i am thinking that i may need to change things up a bit,
i need to go through the 308 load data thread, but was wondering if anybody might be able to give me some insight into a decent powder for 16 inch semi auto's
max range will probaly be 800 to 1000 yards, just recreational shooting in Wv
