1559 ...

Damnit Veer I was thinking the year 1559 and you were about to drop a good history bomb on us.
Oh well ?

We're right smack in the middle of a most excellent history lesson.

Just saw on CNN Pelosi refused the offer . She's sti king to all or nothing . One c9mmentator stated that it's ludicrous for either side to expect an unconditional aurrender and that the ball is in the Dems court . At the same sime saying Republicans are not supporting this ie Trump .

the dems know how to get shit done for their side, Trump is getting punked, the repubs are losers fucking losers, they are fluffers for the Dem party, muther fuckers all, we have an Unconstitutional government who looks upon our citizens as slaves.

I think in some room way underground, both sides meet and discuss how they can fuck the American people in a good cop/bad cop way. They're all in cahoots to destroy our nation.

He got Obama care passed. Got republicans to vote for it too.

I am unaware of any Republicans who voted for it. Am I missing something?

I think today's announcement was a prelude to an emergency declaration. It might be a PR move to give the appearance that he has extended a reasonable offer and an olive branch to the Dems. He knows (as do most) that they won't accept any of it. So, he tells the people, "Well, I tried..." and then goes forward with the wall without them. To you guys saying he caved - not if he knew there was no chance they'd take the deal (and they pretty much announced in a "prebuttal" before his speech that they wouldn't). He just ends up looking like the only one trying to cooperate.

Are you referring to the ones who voted "against" repealing it under Trump? That's something entirely different. Different Congress, different Senate, and different Administration. The post I was responding to was referring to Republicans whom Obama "got" to vote "for" it (see Post 16).

I'm not being played anything. I'm correcting an incorrect statement. And I think you may be wrong on your facts as well. I believe it was 60 Dems that voted to pass it in the Senate in 2009.

Also, Republicans just used the nuclear option TWICE to confirm nominations of two Supreme Court Justices in the past two years, don't forget.
