I have 200 rounds of hornady superformance match in 168gr. a-maxx. I am going to be going to the range in the next week to sight in my new night force 5.5-22x56 on my remington 700 5r and was wondering if anyone had any ballistic info on this round. I have found info on the 178gr on the hide but no 168.... likewise online i have found ballistic info out to 500 yards but i plan on shooting farther than that. any info would help! thank you!

All the info you need can be found at the following ballistic calculator website (JBM Ballistics):

All you need to do is enter your muzzle velocity, atmospheric conditions, etc., and select the Hornady 168 gr A-Max from the pull-down menu at the top.

I shot the 168gr hornady superformance match ammo over the weekend at 100 yards and 300 yards. i shot a .7'' 5 shot group at 100 yards and a 4'' 15 shot group at 300 yards, It shot very well!

If you're gonna be shooting past 500, my advice would be to test the 178's. They're better in both my LR rifles from 500 to 1K.

I just tested a box of 178 Gr HPBT Superformance Match with my GAP Crusader this morning and it blew the primers out of 7/15 that i shot. From what i saw it really doesn't like the heat (85F)

No primer issues with mine either, temp was about 90
