I don't know if this has been adressted in the past but here go's. I am running a DPMS 24" heavy barreled .308. I shot some 168gr M1A ammo yesterday with no problems. I switched over to 175gr Federal and shot high about two inches. I add my suppressor and shot even higher and then I got a jam/ejecting problem. More then once this has happen. At first I thought it was the 10rd mag problem and I switched to the 19 round and hoped it would go away. So my question is has anyone else had a problem. I am going out again and just going to use the 168gr to see if the problem happens again. Any input whould helpful
thanks..

Re: 168 vs 175 grain

The POI shift with different ammo's and the suppressor is to be expected. The fact that you shot high with a heavier weight bullet tells me that they have a greater pressure than the 168's. This is backed up by the fact that when you add the suppressor into the mix you are overgassed. I would locate an adjustable gas block for your DPMS to run the 175's suppressed. Either that or try running the 168's suppressed.

Your jam is most likely related to a higher bolt velocity when using the suppressor. An adjustable gas block or a heavy buffer will cure this. I run a slash heavy buffer on my noveske n6 and it cured the problem.
