I hate to ask this question, it may be redundant but I searched and couldn't find what I need. I have a .308, 18.5" Oby, 1-11.25 twist and I need to know the approx muzzle velocity for this shorter barrel. I would love to have a chart showing drop and such, does anyone have a program that can run this or show me where to go. I can find info on a 24" barrel and this ammo is popular so I figure several may have the info I need. Its actually free at work, so I don't really plan to go with anything else. I appreciate all your help on here with my questions!

Thanks guys!

Mark

Re: 168gr Federal Gold Medal .308 info...

I find it depends a bit on ammo lot, too.

With Rem Factory Match, 18.5" Bartlien 10-twist I got averages of about 2540fps at 75 degrees when the barrel was new. After 300 rounds or so through the tube it picked up about 20fps, a velocity increase that I have seen happen with some barrels at about that round count.

FGMM runs a bit hotter, between 2550 and 2575fps at 70 degrees.

I test at an altitude of 750 feet.
