my brother ran them in his .308 for F-Class TR, and he had them at mag length. They were significantly better than the 175 sierra in BC, and he could run them a lot faster out of his rifle.
I've done some testing yesterday with 170 Lockbase:
Thun brass (Lapua is of same capacity and performance)
N540 46gr (i've tested it in extreme heat so perhaps add ,2-,5gr) might be a bit hot load!!
COAL 74,7mm
RWS5341 primer
170 lockbase (hBN coated)
speeds = 2730-2800fps
On the picture are shots 2x45,8, 3x46, 2x 46,2 and to the right with different aiming point (to my surprise basicly overlapping if i'd use same aimpoint) 3x46,5.
Here are the two 10 shot groups i did yesterday when confirming my final 170lckbase load. Shot also some 155 scenar loads which also look good despite me pulling a few wide...
It was mixed load shooting as my intention was to confirm POI wouldn't change if i mixed (previously known good loads) loads so besides me pulling a few i'm pretty satisfied with result.
Final load is:
Thun/Lapua brass
RWS5341 or Murom LR primer
46.5 N540
170gr Lockbase (hBN coated)
COAL of 73mm
Speeds are around 2750fps and below 5°C add .5gr and above 35°C take away .5gr
