175 eldx vs 180 berger

I'm interested in using one of these two bullets for an elk hunting load in a 284 win, max range 600 yards with the potential for sub 100 yard shots in the timber.
I'm looking for some feedback on both bullets

Haven't used Hornady but I've taken several elk with the Berger 180 Hybrids in a 7 RM and they work great. Just make sure the tips are clear.

I'd definitely consider the 175 and 168 bergers as well.
It'll be a short barrel so mv will be around 2650, over expansion shouldn't be an issue at all

Several speed goats, a doszen or so whitetails in the 200lb. range and a 384lb. black bear. Ranges from 30 yds. to 580something. Excellent bullet performance and accuracy! It will be my Elk bullet as well with no reservations.

2790 Fed GM match primers and H1000 in nosler brass. The rifle was throated for max case capacity with the 180VLD.

175gr EH fan here. Dumped my bull with 7rem mag at 890yds, entered behind ribs and I found it in the hide on the opposite shoulder. He took 1 step and piled up. Also just harvested a ca bighorn, 780yds, pass through with baseball size exit.

I‘m a fan now, as well. The 7 SAUM/175EH is a nice combo, especially when suppressed.

175 eh here as well. If they are unattainable the 168 vld and 180 hybrid would be my Choice. Shot a deer last year with the 180, did the dead. My uses the 168s in a 7 mag with excellent results
