Are they still producing this rim fire round? Have not seen any in a long time.

I don't think it is obsolete since Savage is still offering the chambering but I haven't seen any ammo listed in stock for a while. I am guessing it is low on the rimfire production schedule untill 22lr gets caught up.

CCI produces it . Its hard to find right now . Midway got some in couple weeks back and was sold out immediately after they emailed people who had it on backorder . I was one of the unlucky ones that read it too late .
